Sarnia Shawl kit

This pretty lace shawl is the perfect combination of simple and interesting. It starts at the neck, and the slightly-more-than-half circle shape is created with rows of yarn-overs. Two sets of diamond motifs accent the lower border, and are an easy introduction to lace knitting and chart reading. The diamond lace pattern is both written out and charted.

This is an advanced beginner project. You should already know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.

Kit includes two skeins of Black Diamond Alpacas Fingering Weight alpaca yarn (250 yards each) and the Sarnia Shawl pattern in both printed format and PDF download code. All items are packaged in a bag as shown, with the pattern folded to fit inside the bag.

These items are not included, but will be needed to complete the project: US 6 (4mm) circular needles 29″ or longer or size needed to obtain gauge, size F (3.75mm) or larger crochet hook, 1 yard waste yarn, yarn needle
